Kalmadi being quizzed at CBI headquarters
March 15th, 2011 - 1:05 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, March 15 (IANS) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Tuesday quizzed former Commonwealth Games Organising Committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi in connection with alleged financial irregularities in the preparations for the October 2010 sporting event.
“He arrived at our headquarters at 10.15 a.m. and is being questioned,” a CBI official said.
This is the second time that the former Commonwealth Games (CWG) chief is being questioned by the premier investigative agency after Jan 5, an official said.
The Games, held in New Delhi Oct 3-14, 2010, were marred by allegations of financial irregularities and corruption.
