Juve closing in on Serie A title

Rome, April 30 (IANS) Juventus thumped hosts Novara 4-0 to move a step closer to the Italian Serie A title while AC Milan beat Siena 4-1 to remain three points adrift.
Mirko Vucinic scored twice Sunday, while Marco Borriello and Arturo Vidal were also on target as Juve retained their three-point lead over Milan at the top.
Second from bottom Novara look certain to be relegated, eight points from safety with three games left, reported Xinhua.
AC Milan stayed hot on the heels of Juve with a convincing 4-1 win at Siena.
Antonio Cassano marked his first start for AC Milan in six months by scoring a goal. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was on target twice to extend his lead at the top of the Serie A scoring charts, while Antonio Nocerino also got his name on the scoresheet.
Udinese moved into a four-team tie on 55 points with Inter Milan, Napoli and Lazio for third place in Serie A with three games of the season remaining thanks to a 2-0 win over rivals Lazio at the Stadio Friuli.
