Dec. 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Minnesota Vikings lost the match against the Carolina Panthers 7-26 last night, at the Bank of America Stadium. While the entire team played really well the main credit for the win by this wide a margin goes to Julius Peppers of the Carolina Panthers. It was a great job done by the winning team, considering that only the day before, they had been ousted from the 2009 playoffs. AT the end of the match, it had to be concluded that although it ended with a number of the Carolina Panthers players being crowned the heroes of the team, the real king of the night was Julius Peppers.
It was not so much his score that mattered in the game, it was the effect he cast on the opponent team with his smart moves and gaming tactics.
He manages only a single tackle, and then one sack. In fact, the announcers commented that it was possible that Bryant McKinnie of the Minnesota Vikings had to be benched as he did not seem to be able to manage the Carolina Panthers’ defensive end’s explosive moves. He was practically terrorizing the other team, completely living up to the praises bestowed on him by Jared Allen of the Minnesota Vikings.
After the match was over, the press tripped over each other to get an interview of Julius Peppers. It is not surprising, as he had earned every bit of the adulation that were being bestowed on him yesterday, and also the huge seven figure paycheck that is given to him at the end of each month. The coach must have realized that he is every bit worth the money.
