Vancouver, British Columbia, Feb 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American short track speed skater J.R.Celski, who won the bronze medal in the Winter Olympics at Vancouver, had managed to create quite a buzz with his impressive tattoo. The skater managed to grab many eyeballs with the tattoo embedded on his chest which came to light when it was captured on camera while the skater was changing his shirt prior to training.

The tattoo spotted by the 19 year old gathered much attention as it represents the Philippine flag with three stars and a sun. The symbol has been successful in creating quite a stir across the world as it is being presumed to be an indication of his Filipino ancestry, given the fact that his mother is of Filipino descent. The attractive tattoo would surely go a long way in enhancing the overall appeal of the young skater, who is already being hailed as the poster boy of American speed skating. However, the tattoo surely is extremely striking and it does not come as a surprise that it has been successful in generating such a huge amount of interest. Moreover, many feel that this display of loyalty to the homeland of his mother is sure to garner widespread support for the young skater among the Filipino community.

J.R.Celski also impressed the world with his performance at the men’s 1500 meters race at the Winter Olympics, which enabled him to win the bronze medal. The young skater is also known to have registered two gold medals, one silver medal as well as two bronze medals at the World Championships.
