New Orleans, Dec.28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Quarterback Josh Freeman of the team Tampa Bay Buccaneers played a pivotal role in ensuring that his team manages to register victory during their clash against New Orleans Saints on Sunday. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers clinched an unexpected victory against the opponents during overtime by a score of 20-17.
The 21 year old quarterback displayed a scintillating performance as he managed to go for 21 of 31 for an amazing 271 yards. While reacting to his teams victory, the young player later added that although initially the Buccaneers were struggling to gain control of the match, his team never felt that this game would end with another defeat for his team. Moreover, the player was intercepted two times in the game and also led his team to victory in the final moments of the game.
However, the New Orleans Saints dominated the match in the first half as they managed to take a 17-3 lead and also avoided any penalties. In the second half of the game, the Saints could not continue their performance and managed only 170 yards as well as delivered two penalties. The match started becoming all the more interesting in the fourth half, which ultimately resulted in the underdogs Tampa Bay Buccaneers emerge as the ultimate winner. Although, the end result of the game disappointed all the fans of the New Orleans Saints, this was surely a great opportunity for the Buccaneers, who ultimately managed to turn the tables in the favor.
Meanwhile, Josh Freeman, whose performance in the last game is receiving huge appreciation, became a part of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers through the 2009 NFL Draft.
