Anaheim, Calif., October 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Angels scored a 4-1 win against the Red Sox and recorded a 2-0 lead in the league. Red Sox team failed to maintain their excellent performance of the last three seasons. To secure their position in the league and to save themselves from elimination, the team needs to play extremely well. Josh Beckett, a talented player of the team also could not help the team to secure their position in the league.
Josh Beckett who is named amongst the best pitcher’s of the game did not play up to the mark in the match. He could not deliver the pitching that the team and fans expected from him. In the seventh innings he had made few mistakes that eased Angels’ win in the match. Beckett was quite disappointed for his mistakes during the game and had admitted his mistakes in the post match interview.
Pitcher Josh Beckett had given some outstanding performances in the 2007 games. In the last match, he made efforts to improve the score of the team but did not succeed. He needs to get back those performing standards for helping the team secure its position in the league. The change in Beckett’s form has pushed many to speculate about his physical fitness. However, Josh Beckett has confirmed that he is absolutely fit.
Jered Weaver of Angels had played well in this match and contributed a lot to the team’s victory. While Weaver’s hits kept the Red Sox team under pressure, Maicer Izturis hit the deciding run of the match. Angels played wonderfully in the two games and more is expected from them in the coming games.
