Jonathan BrookinsDec 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jonathan Brookins did not disappoint his fans at The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale, which was the UFC’s last show. He emerged triumphant against Michael Johnson, despite the cut throat back and firth competition, coupled with a lot of anxiety and thrill in the lightweight tournament.

In the first round, the fans of Jonathan Brookins were almost under the impression that he would lose, as he was dropped early by the more domineering Michael Johnson, with several striking offenses. The occasional takedown attempts on the part of Jonathan Brookins was also overruled by Michael Johnson with enough sensibility. However, it was in the second round that Jonathan Brookins gained his composure. He got an early takedown, by punishing him throughout with superior ground and pound. In the third round, it was once again Jonathan Brookins, who dominated the game to get a strong foot hold for himself and become the winner. In the third round, Jonathan Brookins threw Michael Johnson on the floor and pinned his back to the cage. After a prolonged battle for position, Jonathan Brookins got a near-mount to bring his opponent back to the standing position. After Michael Johnson missed his last takedown, he was hardly left with any hope.

Jonathan Brookins thereby ended the TUF 12 season with an unanimous decision victory in just three rounds. He participated in the fight as a ground specialist. However, his strong point became his weakest point in the first round, until he recovered himself in the following two rounds to control his opponent on the ground. He won on cards of 29-28, two times and 29-27 once, to give his opponent an overwhelming lead in a fast-paced first.
