moutonAccording to the sources, an apt decision or judgment passed on by the Big Ten witnessed the suspension of the Michigan junior linebacker, Jonas Mouton for one game after videos of Jonas punching a Notre Dame player during the last week’s victory at Michigan stadium went on circulating all over the net.

According to the sources, Mouton reportedly punched the Notre Dam Center Eric Olsen with 8 minutes left in the second quarter of the match. There was no call for a penalty during the play. When inquired regarding the alleged “punch” that was landed upon the Notre Dame player by Mouton, coach Rich Rodriguez initially said the player won’t face any sort of punishment from the team. “What are we talking about? I know they were talking about one incident on the film, and I didn’t see anyone throwing a punch or something like that. The little bit I saw on the clip, I saw guys got tangled up together, and Jonas tried to free himself. There’s a whole lot of officials out there and am sure that if there was an infraction, then they would call it,” said Rodriguez, the head coach of Wolverines.

But luck didn’t favor Mouton as the Big Ten reviewed the film and confirmed that Mouton had allegedly threw a punch at Olsen, thereby violating the code of conduct. “The action of Jonas Mouton during the Notre Dame game is unacceptable. Mouton’s behavior has no place in the sport of football or the Big Ten Conference,” said the Big Ten Commissioner in a statement. According to the sources, Michigan reportedly accepted the suspension of Mouton after the Big Ten announced that the player will be reprimanded for his untoward behavior.
