Johnny Damon & C.C.Sabathia Helps Yankees Win Against Angels

New York, October 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) New York Yankees won their last game against the Los Angeles Angels. The game was scheduled in home ground of Yankees on Friday. Yankees had played well in the game and the final score of the match was New York Yankees-4 and Los Angeles Angels-1.
Johnny Damon had played well in the match. On the Friday match he had scored twice and had recorded two hits. Yankees had prepared well for the game. As stated by the sources, the outfielder Johnny Damon had practiced even on the off-day of the team. His hard work before the match paid off as the team registered a win against the Los Angeles Angels.
C.C.Sabathia had also made significant contribution in the match. The way in which Sabathia played restricted the Angels players from scoring more points in the match was noticeable. Though they had talented players but the gaming skills of Sabathia did not allow them to utilize much of their talents. Referring to the tactful performance of C.C.Sabathia, outfielder Damon said, “That’s why we got C.C., to be a workhorse during the season, of course, but also to shut down teams in the postseason.”
The defense of the Los Angeles Angels had been quite impressive in all the matches of this season. They had won matches for their well-built defense. On the Friday match against the New York Yankees, the defense of the team was comparatively weaker. C.C.Sabathia had taken the complete advantages of the mistakes committed by Angels defense players in the match and helped Yankees win. Angels will have to overcome their weaknesses to progress in the series.
