John Wooden In Grave Condition

June 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former UCLA basketball coach and Hall of Famer, John Wooden was hospitalized in Los Angeles last Thursday night.
According to sources, the 99 year old John Wooden was in “grave” condition. John Wooden is reported to be in Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
He was hospitalized about a month ago due to his bad health condition. The television reporters stated that he has not eaten for the last few days. His present condition has not improved yet as per the sources.
John Wooden was nicknamed as “The Wizard Of Westwood” and he had 620-147 record in 27 years at UCLA. He coached the men’s team from 1964-1975. He led the Bruins to win 10 NCAA championships. The record that Bruins created was to win 88 consecutive games overall and 38 games in the NCAA tournament.
UCLA spokesman Marc Dellins said that he spoke with John Wooden’s family but could not confirm anything about his release from the hospital.
During his career as a coach, John Wooden guided top players like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bill Walton. He won 620 games during his career, it began at UCLA in 1948 and ended following 1974-1975 season. The Medical Center spokeswoman of UCLA Roxanne Moster refused to comment anything as it would be violation of medical privacy laws for her. Even the family members did not comment anything about his health condition. John Wooden, the coach has earned lot of respect and love for his performance in the field of sports.
The reason for his admission in hospital is still unknown. All that is known is John Wooden is battling for his life in the hospital. The basketball fraternity is praying for speedy recovery.
