john3New York, Feb 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) John Salmons, the guard for the Chicago Bulls, has been traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. It was being speculated that the deal, which has been pending for quite some time now, has been closed when he failed to show up at the game against the New York Knicks on the night of Wednesday. According to the coach of the team, Vinny Del Negro, he was asked to leave the player back at the hotel where the team was staying. However, he did not comment any more on the matter, saying that he was not privy to any information, and that he had just acted in accordance to the instructions that he had been given.

Apparently, he had been instructed via a phone call that John Salmons would not be playing in the game against the New York Knicks. Vinny Del Negro also commented that he would be able to speak more on the matter only after he is given some more insight into it, and not before that, that is, after the game is over. However, things became clearer soon- with it being reported that John Salmons has been traded to the Milwaukee Bucks.

John Salmons will be with the Milwaukee Bucks for a couple of expiring contracts. Trading John Salmons is going to give the Chicago Bulls the liberty to look for a top level free agent who would be coming within their salary cap of over $5 million. This had been on the agenda of the Chicago Bulls for a very long time to find a free agent who would be pairing up with Derrick Rose, their All-Star guard.
