John Carlson Scores Winning Goal For U.S.

hockeySaskatoon, Saskatchewan, Jan 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Luck did not favor the Canada hockey team last night and they lost the game against United States during the overtime. Players from both the sides could not score the winning goal during the regular time and so needed to play the extra time for registering a win. The game, which was pulse racing throughout did not lose its attraction in the overtime and John Carlson scored a fantastic goal to defeat Canada in the World Junior Hockey Championship.

After the loss in the game, the hopes of Canadian players to win the gold medal for another time shattered and they were highly disappointed with their performance in the game. As per the reports, the final score 6-5, declared that United States had finally become successful to resist Martin Jones, the Canadian goalie and score the winning goal. It was John Carlson, who had scored the overtime goal to win against Canada.

John Carlson, the defense player of US was praised for his performance in the game. He was satisfied with his performance and in a post game interview he said that he was ‘lucky’ that he could put his talent to good use for his team. The U.S. team was extremely happy to win the World Junior Hockey Championship against the Canada team and praised John Carlson for his outstanding goal that helped them to win. According to the reports, John Carlson will celebrate his birthday on January 10, 2010 and the victory against Canada team has come as an excellent birthday present for the young player.
