Florida, Oct 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Florida Gators will miss quarterback John Brantley following his injury during the game against Alabama. It is currently not known the extent of injury but it is expected that Brantley will stay out of the game for some time.

Speculations are coming out regards the type of injury that Brantley might have suffered. According to a report carried by Palm Beach Post, Brantley’s injury may be an ankle sprain. The reported said it was reliably informed by several sources that ankle sprain was the injury that Brantley picked during the game.

The extent of the injury will determine how long he will have to stay out. If it turns out that Brantley has indeed suffered an ankle sprain, he will have to take inspiration from Tom Brady during his recovery.

Just two weeks to the Super Bowl XLII, Brady had a nasty ankle sprain which got many people ruling him out of the most important game of the NFL season. Against all odds, Brad returned ahead of the game and featured in the super bowl.

Wikipedia explain that ankle sprain is “A high ankle sprain, also known as a syndesmotic ankle sprain, is a sprain of the syndesmotic ligaments that connect the tibia and fibula on the lower leg.”
