Johal in 23rd placeAugust 13th, 2008 - 10:29 pm ICT by IANS
Beijing, Aug 13 (IANS) Continuing his highly forgettable outing, India’s Nachhatar Singh Johal was in the 23rd place after seven races in the Finn category of the Beijing Olympic sailing competition here Wednesday. Johal, who has been with the rear pack throughout the race, finished 18th in the seventh race accumulating 11 penalty points after starting from the Beijing Sailing centre.
The eight race, also scheduled for the day, could not be held as “hazy skies trapped the heat and reduced the breeze on one of the courses,” the officials said.
Great Britain’s Ben Aisle is in the lead, with Zach Railye of USA immediately following him. Twenty six competitors are taking part in the race, with the final slated for Saturday.
