Joe Namath’s Daughter Olivia Namath Arrested On Drug Charges

Jupiter, Fla., Jan 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Olivia Namath, the teenager daughter of Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath has been taken into custody from South Florida, as she was found in possession of liquor and marijuana- after her car was stopped by authorities. The incident took place on Sunday after police authorities stopped the speeding Mercedes in which the 19 year old girl was traveling with two other companions.
Owing to the incident, Olivia Namath faces multiple charges that include possession of alcohol by a person under 21 as well as two counts of possession of marijuana. Although, the teenager has been released on a bond of $3,000, she would be making her first court appearance very soon, owing to the charges levied on her following the incident. However, Olivia Namath has denied that she had any idea about the drugs which were discovered in her car by the police authorities.
While narrating the incident, Palm Beach County authorities have revealed that the incident occurred during a routine traffic check, when an officer smelled marijuana in the car driven by the teenager. This was followed by a thorough search of the car, which led to a bag of leafy substance that turned out to be marijuana. Moreover, bottles of beer and rum where also discovered from the car.
Olivia Namath is the daughter of legendary American Football League player Joe Namath, who is known to have been associated with New York Jets for the major part of his career. However, he ended his illustrious with the Los Angeles Rams after he played for them only for a single season.
