joeLos Angeles, Apr 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former basketball player and present coach Joe Bryant was spotted in Los Angeles, watching intently the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Oklahoma City Thunders. Contrary to what was being expected, he was not scanning the team to look for a possible recruit, but, actually, all his attention was riveted on one player in the Los Angeles Lakers, the guard of the team, Kobe Bryant, his son. The former player had come down to cheer for his son, and watch the game, which was being held at the Staples Center in Tuesday, in Los Angeles.

Joe Bryant is known as a legend in basketball circles of the United States. At present, he is a coach, and has currently returned from coaching in Italy and Japan. He has returned on home ground after a long five years, and so it must have been very special for him to watch his son excel and surpass himself in the court. For that is how Kobe Bryant performed in the court on Tuesday, although many observers feel that it might have been the effect of having a legend of a father watching him from the stands.

Despite the fact that a legend like Joe Bryant could have found a lot at fault with his son’s prowess, he steered clear of any criticism. Instead, he just chose to be another spectator, choosing, 9inmstead, to cheer for his son, although he could not resist throwing a piece of advice. As he watched the game progress, he urged his son to make a free throw, an advice that was picked up and aptly executed by Kobe Bryant.
