Syracuse, N.Y., Nov.10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) As the Syracuse team notched a victory against the Alabany team with a score of 75-43, Jim Boeheim recorded his eight hundredth victory as a basketball coach. He is the eight First Division coach to win eight hundred matches in his career.

The successful coach, Boeheim [age 65 years] needs to cross few more milestones to renew the record of maximum number of wins as coach. After completing eight hundred wins as a coach, Boeheim is trailing behind three other successful coaches who crossed this landmark and recorded more wins than him. It is expected that Boeheim, who is coaching actively till now will soon cross the record of Jim Calhoun. He is not very far from Calhoun and needs to win five more matches to cross his record and get the third position. If he can cross the record of coach Calhoun, then he will have to prepare his team to reach the record of Mike Krzyzewski and Bob Knight. Till date, Mike Kryzewski is in the second position with a record of eight hundred and thirty three wins while Bob Knight enjoys the first position with victories in nine hundred and two matches.

Fans hope that Jim Boeheim will set a new record and has congratulated him for reaching the milestone of eight hundred career wins. On November 26, 1976, Boeheim recorded his first win as a coach. After this, he has crossed several successful years and won matches to reach this landmark. Jim Boeheim was delighted after his team won the match and thanked fans for their support.
