Jharkhand to award honorary degree to Dhoni
February 1st, 2011 - 8:43 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Feb 1 (IANS) Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is yet to graduate from college, will be awarded an honorary degree by his home state Jharkhand, the state’s Human Resource Minister Baidyanath Ram said here Tuesday.”We will give an honorary degree to Dhoni. We will put the issue before the committee which decides on awarding honorary degrees,” Ram told reporters here Tuesday.
“Dhoni does not need any certificate. We wish that Dhoni and the Indian team perform well in the (cricket) world cup,” he added.
Dhoni enrolled in a graduate programme in 2008 but could not appear in the examinations due to his busy schedule.
