Jessica Mosley is the Champion of the ESPN Couch Potato contest

Baltimore, Jan 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A 27 year old Jessica Mosley has emerged as the Champion of the ESPN Couch Potato contest. And she successfully defended her couch potato champion title, which is had won the last year too. She sat in a recliner for 33 hours, and watched the TV. In between these 33 hours, she had her hourly stretch breaks and rest-rooms breaks every 8 hours.

Last year she was on the couch for more than the double time of this year, at more than 70 hours. Prior to the contest she had said that she could go on for more than 100 hours, but she gave up after her nearest competitor called it quits.

Her closest competitor in the contest this year was Chris Dachille, who is a sports producer involved with WBAL-TV aged 30. However, Jessica Mosley is hopes that she would better her record in the next year. ESPN spokespersons revealed that the lady would walk away with the top prize of $4,000. Mosley’s prize is worth more than $4,000, an ESPN representative said. It includes a recliner, a $1,000 gift certificate to Best Buy, one year of free cable or satellite TV service, $1,000 in gift certificates and game cards to ESPN Zone and the Ultimate Couch Potato Champion’s trophy - a real spud mounted on a stand.
