jessJan 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It would be wrong to think that the term Couch potato is applicable only for men. Jessica Mosley has proved that she can beat the lazy food gorging archetypal couch potato male hands down any day. The 27 year old lady has emerged as the winner of a unique couch-potato contest. It was held at the ESPN Zone in Baltimore. In fact she won for second time in the contest. Incredible as it may sound, she sat in a reclining chair for almost 33 hours and kept her eyes hooked to a small TV set. However, she had to go to bathroom every 8 hours and took stretch breaks each hour. She did much better last year when she sat at the couch for more than 70 hours.

She thought that she would beat the record set by her the previous year but could not come close. Her main competitor in the contest was Chris Dachille, a sports producer involved with WBAL-TV aged 30. However, Jessica Mosley is sure that she would better her record in the next year. ESPN spokespersons revealed that the lady will walk away with the top prize of $4,000. 24 year old Alex Pyzik, who stood second in the contest last year, gave up within 25 hours this time.

Chad Jones was the first contestant who gave up. He said that the news of the birth of his child distracted him and so he could not continue beyond 19 hours. However, he had already appeared fatigued and stressed out from the moment the competition had kicked off, so there weren’t much bets placed on him.
