Jessica Ennis’ gold postbox vandalized

London, Aug 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A postbox that was painted Gold to celebrate Jessica Ennis’s Olympic victory was vandalized and left with graffiti markings on it. The box, which was painted with the words ‘Go Jess’ on it was vandalized with graffiti writings.

Jessica who is a heptathlete, got the postbox in her home city and it had already become a tourist attraction. A spokesperson said that they did not know why someone would choose to vandalize the postbox. They also said that they were not aware what the writings of the graffiti said and they quickly repainted the postbox so as to get rid of the graffiti writings.

A lot of people had visited the city center on Sunday as the first coat of god paint was being painted to celebrate Ennis’s victory. The postbox which is situated outside the city hall has overlooking it an 80 foot poster of Ennis. A lot of people wanted to visit the postbox with rumors of there being a man who traveled al the way from London just to have a glance at it. A newly married couple also took their pictures with the postbox on the day it was painted.
