westJune 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In a candid interview with a reputed sports network, Los Angeles Lakers legend Jerry West went on to speak about how he feels about the NBA finals that are being played out between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers, and most of all about Kobe Bryant, whom he called the greatest player that the team has ever seen.

Now, coming from someone who is virtually a legend, not only among the Los Angeles Lakers, but also among the basketball fraternity, it certainly is almost a tribute. In fact, the entire interview was almost completely focused on Jerry West’s idea of Kobe Bryant, on whom the former player bestowed lavish praises.

Jerry West went on to say that he feels that Kobe Bryant is, at present, one of the best players in the team.

He felt pretty certain that Kobe Bryant would be performing very well indeed in the game against the Boston Celtics in the upcoming NBA finals, which would take place in the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

He explained his confidence by saying that in recent times, he has been watching Kobe Bryant put in the best performances he has ever had in his career so far, and assuming that his form would hold, it is very unlikely that he would deliver any way other then what is expected of him in the NBA finals.

Jerry West commented that Kobe Bryant stands out from the other players in the sense that he makes the most difficult shots with apparent effortlessness, and that his game makes it seem that he “wills the ball into the basket.” He also said that although he respects the Boston Celtics a lot, as a rule he would be rooting for the Lakers.
