Jeremy Tyler Mar 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The former United States High School Basketball star, Jeremy Tyler has dropped out of pro ball and quit his Israeli team Maccabi Haifa, and came back home on Friday.

It was discussed on All World Sports Talk that Tyler would have a hard time adjusting to the pro game. Unlike the star Brandon Jennings, who skipped his freshman college year to play pro basketball, and had his family with him when he moved to Europe, Tyler skipped his senior year of high school and was on his own when he left home. The story is already being used as a prime example to boys who are thinking of quitting school to play sports.

Tyler was just 18 years old in August, when he decided to leave his home to play pro ball. Forgoing his senior year at San Diego High School, he was suddenly thrown into the spotlight of publicity. His frustration and difficulties had begun to show last month however, when he walked off the court at halftime in protest of the fact that he did not get more minutes. For his last three games he had not played, nor worn his uniform, but sat on the bench in street clothes. Although the young boy was said to be earning a 140,000 dollar salary, he found it too difficult to adapt to the professional game, and could not find a spot among Maccabi Haifa’s starting line-up. “Due to personal matters, Jeremy chose to leave the team on his own will on March 18 and return home to San Diego,” Maccabi Haifa owner Jeffery Rosen said in a statement. “We wish Jeremy all the best.”
