Jens Pulver Hints Retirement After Defeat

Ohio, March 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Saturday’s WEC’s featherweight clash between former UFC lightweight champion Jens Pulver and Javier Vazquez, the latter seemed determined to make a win after his two previous defeats and Jens Pulver seemed to struggle hard to keep his position. The fight ended with Javier Vazquez winning the game. Jens Pulver, who is known for his excellent skill on mat, on Saturday went for another defeat.
Jens Pulver had a bad start on Saturday as the opponent Javier Vazquez got the chance to take him down thrice. Jens Pulver did his bit to get back to his comfort zone. He was able to reverse Javier Vazquez twice. However, Javier Vazquez managed a take-down on Jens Pulver, who tried to go for a reversal. Javier Vazquez seemed determined to put an end to the game with his tricks ready for the defeat of Jens Pulver. As Jens Pulver struggled to go for another reversal, Javier Vazquez went for a rear-naked choke which the former tackled well, but the latter quickly went for an armbar lock. Jens Pulver submitted just 3 minutes 41 seconds into the game.
The win for Javier Vazquez is his first in the WFC and the defeat is the fifth consecutive one for Jens Pulver. Javier Vazquez however, after the game said that it was an honor to play with Jens Pulver. He also proclaimed that his win was today ensured by the timely workout of the plan he had for the game which he finished with jiu-jitsu. Jens Pulver on Saturday hinted of his retirement from the arena.
