Kumar Sangakkara Colombo, Dec 30 (IANS) Veteran Sanath Jayasuriya has been dropped from the Sri Lankan squad for the Bangladesh tri-nation series after his poor performance in India.
The world’s most experienced ODI batsman, Jayasuriya, has not been named in Sri Lanka’s 15-man squad for the tri-series involving India and Bangladesh as the other two teams.

Jayasuriya, 40, who just completed 20 years of international cricket, has represented the country in 444 ODIs, scoring 11,825 runs.

The selectors have also left out batsman Chamara Kapugedara, fast bowler Lasith Malinga and spinner Ajantha Mendis, who were part of the Indian tour.
