Jamie HoffmanDec 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jamie Hoffman, the outfielder with the Los Angeles team, has been picked up by the Washington Nationals. However, the Nationals have decided that they would be sending the player to the New York Yankees. He would be later named as the player who would be completing the Brain Bruney trade. Brian Bruney had been traded to the Washington Nationals, and Jamie Hoffman would be traded to the Washington Nationals as part of the deal. The selection has been made according to the Rule 5 Draft.

Jamie Hoffman had debuted in the major league in the last season. He was with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Brian Cashman, the General Manager of the New York Yankees, seemed very happy about the exchange. He was full of praises for the player, saying that he is a hugely talented player, and that it would be interesting to see how much he is able to gel in with the other players of the team. He said that the best part of the player is the fact that he can play as a defender in any position, and the fact that he is a good outfielder is a bonus.

The New York Yankees too had two other players from their team selected by other teams. Zack Kroenke, the left handed pitcher, had been selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks. The other player to be picked up was the right hander Kanekoa Texeira, who was named by the Seattle Mariners in the trade. The New York Yankees themselves, however, did not select any player in the draft.
