Nov 26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On the eve of Thanksgiving Day CBS decided to air something special that would once again give an edge to the special day. The day got to see something exactly owing its meaning, when four people decided to render their thanks to their messiah. And this time the divine intervention came in a human form by Carolyn Glaspy, mother of former Cincinnati Bengals player Chris Henry, who had died last year in an accident. Thursday’s special feature on Chris Henry left the “NFL Today” show host James Brown in a pool of tears.
Carolyn Glaspy, the mother of the 26 year old NFL wide receiver revealed that she wants to donate her son’s organs to the people who require them for their own support system. Carolyn Glaspy said she knew that she will not be getting her son back, but could get other new family members. CBS got these four people the platform to offer their modest gratitude when they met Carolyn Glaspy. The four people include Tom Elliott, 63, Donna Arnold, 51, James Benton, 61, Brian Polk, 33. All four of them had been donated Chris Henry’s organs and are now on the better side of life all because of Carolyn Glaspy’s vital decision. The son has been made posthumously proud by his mother.
The receivers did not know what to say to the great lady. All they could do was to hug her tightly with tearful eyes. When this great mother asked out if there was any thing else that she could, the world felt that nothing more was left for her to be done. Donna Arnold told her that she had already done enough. CBS program show host James Brown was in complete tears as was everyone who witnessed this touching moment.
