Jamel Turner In Critical State

June 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ohio state recruit Jamel Turner was shot on early hours of Saturday. He is presently in a critical condition at the Saint Elizabeth hospital. Jamel turner was one of the top defensive recruits by the Ohio State. He signed for the Buckeyes in February and was also a player for Ursuline High School ball team. Jamel Turner was however academically ineligible for graduating from Ursuline High School and therefore shifted to Fork Union military Academy where he played last fall.
The coach of Ohio State team said that though he did not communicate with Jamel Turner he was sad for his plight. He said that he is praying for his recovery. Jamel turner was reportedly shot for the second time on Saturday since April.
Said to have had a troubled upbringing, Jamel Turner was signed to joined the Buckeyes team in the summers. The joining time though depends on his recovery. The last shooting in which he was injured was a drive-by shooting where drugs and guns were found in the car. This time Jamel turner was found near a stop sign in the corner of Manchester and Oakwood with multiple shots to his body. He himself reportedly dialed the emergency helpline number
Another tragedy that occurred along side Jamal Turner’s shooting was the death of a 17 year old girl named Tracy Banks who was accompanying him. She succumbed to the injuries from the gun shots. The police believe that the shooter was Tracy Banks’ boyfriend Melvin Shaw, 18.
No arrests have been made so far in the case and the police are on the look-out for Melvin Shaw.
