Oregon, Nov 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Cal’s electric tailback Jahvid Best was diagnosed with a concussion after taking a serious fall against Oregon State on Saturday night. In the game, Jahvid Best jumped into the air while playing, but instead he fell onto his back and was left immobile on the ground.
The impact was so bad that Best’s helmet flew off and his arms immediately became stiff.
He was immediately transported to a hospital for observation. According to Cal spokesman Herb Benenson, “Best had feeling in all his extremities but suffered a concussion”.
“His eyes were a blank stare, and he was just trying to breathe,” said Cal quarterback Kevin Riley, who described what Best physically looked like after the horrific injury.
Ultimately in the play, Cal lost 31-14 to Oregon State.
Best had 11 touchdowns in this season.
