Nov 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Oakland Raiders defeated the Kansas City Chiefs with a score of 23-20 in overtime and the victory was attributed to no one other than Jacoby Ford. This is the first strong performance from the player and he has already set high expectations about himself after the match.
Jacoby Ford made several highlight catches that proved to be fruitful for the Raiders. He has established himself as a decent WR3 option in yardage leagues, after making six passes for an overwhelming 148 yards. The game was not that easy and Oakland Raiders literally had to struggle in order to stay in that game. But finally it was the speedy rookie receiver who took the game towards the Raider’s victory. Jason Campbell threw a 47-yard pass to Jacoby Ford in an overtime to mark the victory of the match. The two players clinged on a 29-yard pass in the closing seconds in order to set up Sebastian Janikowski’s tying 41-yard field goal. The Raiders were at a score of 5-4 when they won it in overtime. The game was nail biting, marked with slight partiality on the part of the referee. They got five turnovers, 27 penalties and two blown fake punts. The situation of the match could no way assure the victory of the Raiders against the Chiefs. The Raiders were just with 20-17, with 2:06 to play, when they took over at their 25. However, Jacoby soon took the score to 2, after the 29 yard pass. Then they rushed to the line with seven seconds left facilitating Sebastian Janikowski’s tying field goal.
On Sunday it was Jacoby Ford who grabbed this game. This year no other players in the team to make a mark. His performance was way better than what was expected. Of all, it was Jason Campbell who was overwhelmed with him, as his performance meant a lot from a quarterback’s perspective.
