woods1Jan 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It is a known fact that Tiger Woods has always been the master of golf and can boast of a phenomenal career until the salacious gossips came out in the open. Former American golfer Jack Nicklaus, who holds the record of having eighteen majors in his kitty has stated that it will be a tough job for Tiger Woods to break his record, going by the present state in which the champion’s life is in now.

Tiger Woods has fourteen majors under his belt, but his indefinite break can be a source of major upset for the golf star. The ace golfer’s decision to take a long break can make him lose out on the three big championships this year. There are big opportunities at the US Open at Pebble Beach and The Open at St Andrews. These two places are considered to be counted among the golf star’s favorite places.

Jack Nicklaus is of the opinion that if Tiger Woods misses the big championships then his record still needs time to be broken. Jack Nicklaus will have to wait for another generation where a player of some exceptional caliber can match up to something phenomenal and break the record set by him. The former American golfer stated that if Tiger Woods plays this year and manages to break his record, it will be a great year for the ace golfer. The former coach of Tiger Woods, Butch Harmon is confident that the ace golfer will surely take the sane decision of making his comeback soon and play in the US Open and The Open at St Andrews.
