Ishant, Praveen declared fit for third Test
July 6th, 2011 - 5:49 pm ICT by IANSDominica (Rosseau), July 6 (IANS) Indian pacers Ishant Sharma and Praveen Kumar were declared fit for the third and final cricket Test against the West Indies starting here Wednesday.
The duo got injured Monday while playing football during a practice session at the Windsor Park. Ishant got a cut on his left cheek after Praveen made an awkward jump during the training session.
On the eve of the match here Tuesday, Ishant, who had a band aid on the cut, dispelled all speculations by bowling at full speed to Rahul Dravid.
India lead the three-match series 1-0 having won the first test in Jamaica. The second test in Barbados ended in a draw.
