Nov 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Isaiah Stanback has been signed up by the Patriots to play in the game against the Colts. The quarterback and receiver has just been signed off the practice squad to replace those players who have been declared as inactive. The decision came as a surprise for many as Isaiah Stanback is not a particularly renowned person in football circles. Stanback will be filling up the position for the rookie receiver Brandon Tate, who has been declared inactive for having suffered from several injuries.
Stanback is a third year player form Washington. He used to play for the Dallas Cowboys ever since they drafted him for the fourth round of the 2007 schedule. He had played chiefly as a kick returner. He is also known for making witty passes. He got drafted out of the Dallas Cowboys list and was signed up by the New England practice squad. He suffered some injuries and had to stay away form the game for over a year before he got signed up by New England.
The University of Washington player recounts that the Patriots had been looking forward to him even before he got drafted by the Dallas Cowboys for their 2007 schedule. He insists that he did not think he had a chance of getting in as his interview with the Patriots was the worst he had ever sat through. It has not yet been released which position he will be playing in, but he had been practicing as the defense for the game in Miami. He played as a quarterback in college and has been listed as the same in the roster of the Patriots.
