IPL: Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Daredevils by eight wickets

Sachin Tendulkar New Delhi, Apr 10(ANI): Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Daredevils by eight wickets in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match at New Delhi’s Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium on Sunday.

Mumbai Indians chased the 96-run target with 19 balls to spare.

Captain Sachin Tendulkar (46 not out off 50 balls) and Rohit Sharma (27 not out off 30 balls) shared an unbeaten 68-run partnership to guide their team home after the early dismissal of Ambati Rayudu (15) and Davy Jacobs (one).

Earlier in the day, Delhi Daredevils captain Virender Sehwag won the toss and elected to bat, but were bamboozled by the pace of Lasith Malinga.

Malinga finished with match figures of 5-13 from 3.4 overs, as Delhi Daredevils were bundled out for 95.

Wicketkeeper Naman Ojha top-scored for the Daredevils with a 30-ball 29 run innings. (ANI)
