IPL: Kolkata Knight Riders beat Rajasthan Royals by nine wickets

Jaipur, Apr 15(ANI): Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday thrashed Rajasthan Royals by nine wickets in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
Chasing 160 to win, Knight Riders overhauled the target with nine balls remaining.
Captain Gautam Gambhir top-scored with a 44-ball 75 run innings and shared an unbeaten 152-run second wicket partnership with Jacques Kallis (80 off 65 balls).
Gambhir hit 11 boundaries and a six, while Kallis hit seven boundaries in their 17.1 over partnership.
Earlier, Rajasthan Royals batsman Ross Taylor smashed 35 off 25 balls to guide his team to a challenging 159-4.
Taylor, who hit two boundaries and two sixes, added 45 runs for the fourth wicket with Shane Watson.
Watson struck 22 from just 13 deliveries with two sixes. (ANI)
