Mumbai, India, Mar 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The DLF Indian Premier League has started last night with an entertaining opening ceremony followed by a thrilling cricket match. The first match of the season was scheduled between IPL season two’s champion, Deccan Chargers and Kolkata Knight Riders, who had received the last place in IPL season two. Though the Kolkata Knight Riders team had let down their fans last year, they have completely rejuvenated themselves this year and have defeated the Deccan Chargers. Both the teams have played some wonderful shots and people are searching for the IPL highlights 2010.

According to the reports, the Kolkata Knight Riders team has not only changed the color of their jersey from black and golden to purple and golden but also they have revived themselves completely. The match highlights indicate that the Kolkata Knight Riders team, which had lost some early wickets after choosing to bat first had become successful in managing a score of 161 runs in 20 overs. It has been reported that the middle order batsmen of the team have played in a responsible manner and helped the team to secure a good score. Reports indicate that Angelo Mathews’ outstanding performance had helped the team win the match.

Though the match highlights have focused on some of the spectacular performances of the Kolkata Knight Riders, the team of Deccan Chargers have also played well. The highlights of the match would remain incomplete if someone does not refer to the marvelous strokes played by Adam Gilchrist, the captain of the Deccan Chargers. The fall of Adam Gilchrist’s wicket had turned the match and led to the Kolkata Knight Riders’ win by 12 runs.
