Ines Sainz Receives Apology From New York Jets Owner Woody Johnson

Ines SainzSep 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ines Sainz’s complain against the New York Jets team caused much stir in the sports fraternity. The reporter said that she felt offended at the New York Jets’ locker room when she was there to see the practice session of the team and also to take an interview the quarterback Mark Sanchez. However, Ines Sainz wrote in the homepage of her micro-blogging site that the owner of the New York Jets team, Woody Johnson personally called her up and asked for an apology on behalf of the team.

Woody Johnson, in one of his recent interviews to a reputed media source said that he called up Ines Sainz the “minute” he found out about the matter. The owner said that the team officials took the whole incident very “seriously” as the team wants all their reporters to be comfortable. Woody Johnson also added that the New York Jets officials and team members have to make the working environment professional.

The team executives later released a statement where it was maintained that the New York Jets believe that the reporters have a job to do and it is the team’s “obligation” to provide them with proper and “professional” access. Woody Johnson also said that presently the team is working with the “league” and investigating about the whole incident. Woody Johnson added that after the officials collect all the informations, he would let the media know about it. The team officials said that after the investigations the management will take “appropriate” steps necessary to maintain respectful environment for the media. The Association of Women in Sports and Media also released a report yesterday where it was maintained that they are awaiting the result of the investigation.
