India’s Chinglensana fails to win archery medal

- Kolkata, Nov 5 (IANS) India’s sole individual medal hope Maisnam Chinglensana Luwang bowed out of the semi finals and then lost the play-off for the bronze in the men’s compound bow event of the third Asian Indoor Games Archery competition in Hanoi, Vietnam, Thursday.
The Manipur-born armyman lost to ultimate gold medal winner Reza Zamaninejad of Iran 111-117 in the last four battle at the Haiphong Youth Gymnasium, according to information received here.
Later in the day, he went down to another Iranian Mansour Kordi 110-112 in a third place play-off.
India can still win archery medals Friday when the team championship would be played.
