Indians set for clean sweep in WISPA and PSA challenger

Chennai, Sep 11 (IANS) Indians swept the board in the Women’s International Squash Players Association (WISPA) and Professional Squash Association (PSA) Challenger tournaments and will contest both the finals here Saturday.
Fourth-seeded Siddharth Suchde faces unseeded Harinder Pal Singh in the PSA Indian Challenger-3 men’s final while Surbhi Misra takes on Anaka Alankamony in the final of the WISPA Indian Challenger-1 event.

Suchde got past top seeded Dylan Bennett of the Netherlands, who conceded the match trailing 8-11, 3-11, 1-2 citing a stomach disorder, while Harinder knocked out seventh seeded Anson Kwong 8-11, 11-7, 12-10, 12-10.

In the women’s semi-finals, Misra overcame Aparajitha Balamurukan 11-6, 9-11, 11-6, 6-11, 11-3 and Anaka defeated Anwesha Reddy 11-7, 11-8, 11-7.
