Indian team selection for Lanka tri-series, Champions trophy Sunday
August 7th, 2009 - 4:40 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Mumbai, Aug 7 (IANS) The Indian team for the One-day International (ODI) cricket tri-series in Sri Lanka and the Champions Trophy will be selected Sunday.
The tri-series, also involving New Zealand, is from Sep 8 to 14 in Colombo. The Indian team will then head to South Africa for the Champions Trophy beginning Sep 22.
“The senior selection committee will meet Sunday at the TNCA, M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai to pick the Indian team for the tri-series in Sri Lanka and the Champions Trophy,” Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary N. Srinivasan said in a statement Friday.
Also, the BCCI Working Committee will meet Thursday at the Cricket Centre in the Wankhede Stadium here.
