The event constitutes the top 16 teams of the world. China, Korea and Australia are the other teams to qualify from the region.
“AITA has selected the best players in the country to be a part of the team and I am sure under the experienced hands of Captain Sunil Yajaman, the team will do well in the competition,” said Anil Khanna, AITA secretary general.
Yajaman said “I am confident of the boys putting up a good show. Ronit and Digvijay are already in Europe and would get valuable experience playing on European clay which should help them in the Championships. The team is elated and are eagerly looking forward to play in the competition.”
