Indian hockey coach Brasa denies tiff with players
November 20th, 2009 - 4:24 pm ICT by ANIPune, Nov 20 (ANI): The Indian hockey team’s Spanish coach, Jose Manuel Brasa, has denied reports of a rift between him and the players.
He said this on the sidelines of a training session here on Thursday.
“Have you seen all the 30 players are there, have you seen all the 30 players training? Have you taken pictures of all the 30 players training? There is no boycott; there is only someone who is trying to cut the grass under our feet. Someone, who wants to injure us, one who is fighting against us, because things are going well, players are training very very well,” said Brasa.
Reports said some senior players in the team were unhappy with Brasa’s coaching methods and had written a letter to the national hockey governing body. (ANI)
