Indian cricket board announce dates for South Africa series
January 15th, 2010 - 4:19 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Jan 15 (IANS) The Indian cricket board Friday announced the dates for the series against South Africa starting Feb 6 with the first Test in Kanpur.
The second Test will be played in Kolkata Feb 14-18. The three ODIs will be played in Jaipur, Kanpur and Ahmedabad on Feb 21, 24 and 27, respectively.
The Eden Gardens in Kolkata, which has had troubles with floodlights, will host the first Test since 2007.
The series were originally planned to be a five ODI series but after a request from the Indian cricket board, South Africa agreed to play two Tests and three ODIs.
