India win five medals in Sardinia wrestling tournament

New Delhi, June 2 (IANS) The Indian wrestling team returned with a rich haul of five medals in the Free Style, Greco Roman tournament at Sardinia, Italy.
The Indian team bagged three silver medals and two bronze medals in the tournament.

Eighteen teams from major wrestling countries including Russia were competing in the event which ended May 30, according to a statement by Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) Tuesday.

Medal winners

Anil Kumar (55 kg free style) — silver

Hardeep Singh (60 kg free style) — silver

Anil Kumar (96 kg greco-roman) — silver

Naresh Kumar (84 kg free style) — bronze

Joginder Kumar (120 kg free style) — bronze
