Guwahati, Nov.8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) This weekend has a lot of entertainment for the cricket lovers as the Indian team has its sixth One Day International pitted against the Australian team, who has already taken a lead in the series. The sixth match is crucial for the Indian team and they will have to win the game for retaining their chances in the series. On the other hand, if the Australian team loses the game today, then the series would be in a tie and the seventh game would decide the winning team.
It is quite disappointing that for such a crucial match, the Indian batsmen could not stand up to the expectations. Mahinder Singh Dhoni, captain of the Indian cricket team, after winning the toss decided to bat first but their batting innings wrapped up early. Virendar Shehwag, Gautam Gambhir or Yuvraj Singh could not play the Australian bowling and was dismissed early. Sachin Tendulkar, who had played a breathtaking innings in the last game against Australia, could not add much runs to the Indian score card too. Jadeja and P.Kumar were the two players who somehow managed to stick to the wicket and score half centuries. With their score, the Indian team after losing all wickets in 48 overs managed 170 runs in their batting innings.
As the target of 170 runs is not a tough target for the Australian team to achieve, the Indian bowlers would have to take the pressure. They will have to take some early wickets of the Australian batsmen so that their team can be restricted from achieving the target set by Indian team.
