Nov. 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The 5th ODI between India and Australia is under way in Hyderabad, with Australia winning the toss and electing to bat first. The match is to be a day-night one, and with good batting pitch it came as no surprise when Australia decided to bat first.
According to last updates, 34.4 overs have been completed and Australia is playing at 199 runs with just one wicket lost in the form of Shane Watson. Shaun Marsh is batting at 76 from 88 balls and Ponting is standing with 26 runs for 32 balls. India has already given out extras in the form of 2 wides and 1 lb and 1 nb. The run rate for the Australian team is currently at 5.74. Shane Watson had to leave for the pavilion when he was bowled by Harbhajan and caught out by Jadeja in the 25th over. After making 93 runs, it had become very important for India to get that wicket.
The Indian bowlers, Praveen Kumar has bowled just 4 overs, giving out 23 runs and Ashish Nehra gave out 37 runs in 6 overs. The biggest run-giver till now has been Munaf Patel, who has given out 44 runs in 6 overs. None of them, except Harbhajan Singh has bowled a maiden over as of yet.
Both India and Australia are in the game with 2 wins each. This game will be a deciding factor, because if India looses it will be very hard to come back in the next two matches. It was unfortunate, that the 4th ODI saw a wrong decision sending off Tendulkar who was 7 runs away from completing 17000 runs of his career. Indian team has its regular Tendulkar, Sehwag, Gambhir, Yuvraj, Dhoni and Raina playing. The Australian team has Watson, Marsh, Ponting, Hussey, Mckay along with others.
