India-Sri Lanka warm up match ends in a draw
July 15th, 2010 - 9:26 pm ICT by IANSColombo, July 15 (IANS) The three-day warm up match between Sri Lanka Board President’s XI and India ended in a draw here Thursday.
Sri Lanka Board President’s XI scored 260 for six in their second innings for an overall lead of 483. For India, left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha claimed three wickets.
India were bowled out for 291 in reply to Sri Lanka Board President’s XI massive 514 for nine in the first innings to be 223 in arrears.
Indian bowlers, however, came back well in the second innings.
Lahiru Thirimanne struck 102 in 142 balls with the help of nine fours and two sixes.
The home side lost Upul Tharanga with 21 runs on the board before Thirimanne and Dinesh Chandimal (69) added 113 runs.
Thirimanne hit nine fours and two sixes while Chandimal’s quickfire 56-ball innings had nine fours and four sixes.
Thilan Samaraweera made 25 off 60 balls with four fours.
