India, Pakistan leave for Mumbai, Lahore
March 31st, 2011 - 4:26 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, March 31 (IANS) The Indian and Pakistani cricket teams left Chandigarh Thursday, taking separate chartered planes to Mumbai and Lahore respectively.
India defeated Pakistan in a high-voltage World Cup semifinal at Mohali Wednesday night to take on Sri Lanka in the final in Mumbai Saturday.
“The Indians left for Mumbai and Pakistan for Lahore,” Punjab Cricket Association spokesman Sushil Kapoor told IANS.
Scores of fans gathered outside the Taj hotel - where the teams were staying - and at the Chandigarh airport to catch a glimpse of their stars.
