“We are just focusing on cricket,” the team’s media manager Ehsan Malik said.

“We have not received any intimation from the Pakistan Board (PCB)”, Malik added.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to release an official statement after Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf addresses the nation later today.

Meanwhile, former Pakistani batsman Rameez Raza said the players would be a little sombre and the situation is not an ideal one to start the series.

“It will affect them unconsciously,” Raza said, adding, “However, they are pure professionals and would focus on cricket.”

The Pakistan team, which is in Delhi, is expected to leave for Guwahati tomorrow for the first one-dayer to be played on Monday.

The Pakistan team arrived in India on November 1.

Pakistan are due to play five one-day internationals and three tests on their tour. (ANI)
