India beat Sri Lanka by an innings and 144 runs

Kanpur, Nov 27 (IANS) India beat Sri Lanka by an innings and 144 runs in the second cricket Test at the Green Park stadium here Friday.
In reply to India’s imposing total of 642, Sri Lanka were all out for 229 in the first innings and the following on folded up for 269 in the second.
Harbhajan Singh took three for 98 while debutant Pragyan Ojha bagged two for 36. Thilan Samaraweera was the top scorer with 78.
India thus took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. The third Test is in Mumbai from Dec 2.
